Beach fundraising: Year-round Opportunities

The BCU provides year-round, ongoing ways opportunities to contribute. Opt in once or twice, or make it a regular thing! However and whenever you choose to participate, we appreciate you :-)

How to participate

Pick up a pre-stickered blue bag (you’ll find them just inside the main entrance at Beach), fill it with cans and bottles (completely emptied, and not crushed, preferably), and drop it back off at the bin! Repeat! You can also drop off the full bags at any bottle drop facility (https://bottledrop.com/locations/).

Bottle Drop Extra Extra!

Coming in November- 20% matching! From Nov. 15-Dec. 2nd, BottleDropGive will give us an extra 20% on funds raised! We’re not saying sparkling water for the whole family is a must for the holidays, but we’re not not saying it. ;) 

Restaurant Nights

This is a great way to connect with other Beach families, support both the school and local businesses, and get out of cooking! 

When

Year round, approximately once a month, details TBA. Keep an eye on newsletters and social media for more.

How they work

Simply show up to the restaurant on the designated day, and a portion (amount varies) of the restaurant's profits for that day are donated to the school.

You don’t need to wait for an event. One time or monthly donations can be made anytime!

How to donate

There are two easy ways to donate to community priorities (such as teacher grants, SUN School, and student union affinity groups) via BCU. Recurring donations at any amount are incredibly valuable since they help us budget in advance!

Consider checking if your employer matches charitable donations! If you do a direct donation, your company might match it…which means twice the money for Beach! Please reach out to the fundraising team (Amber and Millie at bcufundraising@gmail.com) if you have questions about how this can work.
